  • index.html - I deleted the "Rigor Sine Mortis" phrase in the top right --Kay 15:38, 22 January 2009 (UTC)
    • This messed up the placement, we probably we need to edit the CSS to fix it somehow
    • Deleted most of the rest of the phrases, too. Recommend perhaps keeping the new layout with minor changes.
  • I fixed the [an error occurred processing this directive] stuff on staging. I had accidentally missed or removed a directory when I copied everything over from the live site. --Kay 19:29, 28 January 2009 (UTC)
  • Moved news to top of homepage --Leemasa 19:31, 28 January 2009 (UTC)
  • I still need some guidance about page from Kay/Sam, so for now I emailed Charlie and Jim about possible updates on news part ; events and similar. --Yrosic08 06:12, 29 January 2009 (UTC)
  • made test versions of main page, the two header files, and the css file. In each case, the test version is separated from the original version by a _test suffix.
  • I have removed the Alumni DB link which wasn't working - From index.html --Yrosic08 19:38, 30 January 2009 (UTC)
  • Made a separate file to house the navigation pane. navigation.html--Leemasa 01:28, 31 January 2009 (UTC)
    • only index_test.html has been modified to take navigation from navigation.html rather than hardcoding.--Leemasa 01:28, 31 January 2009 (UTC)
  • Changed some very important names. My test css and two headers are now of the names that all the staging files use, and the old ones are marked _backup. This can be easily reversed if it's getting in anyone's way.--Leemasa 01:51, 2 February 2009 (UTC)
  • Changed index_text.html to index.html, and index.html to index_backup.html I suppose this defeats the point of having a test version in the first place... It's still easily reversible, though.--Leemasa 01:18, 3 February 2009 (UTC)
  • A disturbing number of the pages had their headers hardcoded. I have fixed this for the following:
    • contact.html
    • search.html
    • thissite.html
    • courses.html
    • majorminor.html
    • prereqs.html
    • advising.html
    • facultyinfo.html
    • grads.html
    • projects.html
    • sture.html
    • jobs.html
    • links.html
  • Skylar count still had its load-bearing text, so I removed it. I also changed the css stylesheet path from absolute to relative.
  • The staging homepage~ The Content Group image leads me to the real page content group so when I just tried to do some changes; I didn't see any changes- and then I realized that link led me to the real server, not the staging one. Manually typing the link, I accessed the staging site and saw the changes. Possibly fixable? Thanks --Yrosic08 06:14, 4 February 2009 (UTC)
    • I guess the problem is general; all external links actually lead away cause it's not originally part of staging server; e.g. faculty members links @ http://staging.cs.earlham.edu/pages/facultyinfo.html again lead to original cs page; I guess we need to deal with it. --Yrosic08 06:20, 4 February 2009 (UTC)
  • I am kind of on hold, on the stuff that are mentioned for me to do - I will continue later: but I did change the logo of the content group and ready to change others as soon it looks appropriate by your judgment. Hope it's fine.

--Also changed the Sys Admin one. --Yrosic08 06:35, 4 February 2009 (UTC)

  • I moved Vlado's virtual list to its own page--Leemasa 21:00, 4 February 2009 (UTC)
  • I have changed to icons at the Research and Applied groups section to the new ones + working on the whole new set.

-Actually those icons are from the separate folder so I haven't changed the source/directory - but I've just changed the logos. --Vlado b.K.a. Yubaa 19:36, 4 February 2009 (UTC)

  • I have finished potential new logos and new banner for the CS department, and I have put it under /clients/www/staging/html/images/images_vlado

so that you can check them out and give opinions; worth putting on - need work (maybe the banner) and suggestions too. Thanks. --Vlado b.K.a. Yubaa 21:25, 4 February 2009 (UTC)
