Running Posit in the AVD

  1. Install a Android Virtual Device Manager if you haven't already.
  2. Go to Window -> AVD Manager
  3. Add an AVD for Google APIs (API level 8)
    1. Select your emulated device
    2. Click 'Edit'
    3. Give the SD Card some space (e.g. 10 MiB)
    4. Under 'Hardware', make sure both GPS support and Camera support are installed and enabled.
    5. Click 'Edit AVD'
  4. Run the Emulator you just edited. Wait a really long time. if it works right, Posit is the globe icon in the menu with the other apps.
