consider setting/modifying/configuring the following

  • hostname
  • bootscripts and binaries (/etc/init.d and /etc/rc.d)
  • other scripts and binaries (/bin, /sbin, /usr/bin, /usr/sbin, /root/scripts, etc)
  • ssh/dropbear
  • ssh keys
  • /etc/inittab
