A problem that many students face with traditional teaching methods is a lack of interactivity with and visual representation of material. To learn about computer science, it is necessary for students to write and compile their own implementations of protocols to get a sense of the protocols' place and purpose. As visual creatures, this leaves a lot of burden upon the students to come up with their own visual layout of problems and concepts.

I will create a series of Java applets on subjects within computer science with an emphasis on visual representation of and interactivity with concepts. The main goal is to create tools that students can use as stand-alone pedagogy as well as in conjunction with class assignments
