Name of Task: Layout Node Repair

People Involved: Eli

Date Started: August 2018 - Initiated many months ago

Deadline: December 2018

Description

Node 1 of layout ('lo1') is out for repair. Some (likely) hardware-based issue has caused it to fail to boot, so some beep code and attempted boot up procedures are called for.

Status

Machine has been removed from the rack and set on the table in the hallway with monitor and peripherals for testing. Memory has been swapped out but it doesn't seem like that was the issue.

RAM and Graphics card un-and-re-plugging seems to have fixed the boot issue. Still needs re-racked, but should be good to go. Hard to verify that it's all in working order without ldap login, but it looks promising.
