Who produced the PDP machines? What has become of them?

DEC (Digital Equipment Corporation) produced and sold the PDP (Programmed Data Processor) line of computers from 1959 to the mid 1990s before selling the PDP11 design to Mentec inc.

The last of DEC was eventually bought by Compaq and is now owned by HP (which bought Compaq).
