3) BOF sessions per workshop flavor at all HPC and computational science related conferences.  In some cases it may be a general &amp;quot;SC Education Workshop&amp;quot; BOF, for larger venues one per workshop flavor may be supportable.&lt;br /&gt;

My experience is that building a community, ala e.g. the Beowulf list, is the first and most important step towards adoption of any technology.&lt;br /&gt;

Pro: Builds community.  Con: Cost of teleconferencing and labor to support the consultants for the rounds.&lt;br /&gt;

o       Identify 3 other people/organizations in the community we should be talking with to expand the discussion of available content and/or content needs&lt;br /&gt;

1) Social scientists, particularly economists.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
2) Biologists, population ecology and bio-informatics.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
3) Environmental scientists, ground water modeling.&lt;br /&gt;

o       Identify 3 &amp;quot;nay-sayers&amp;quot; we need to be talking with to understand the barriers to adopting changes in the curriculum&lt;br /&gt;

o       Identify a business/industry contact we can approach for support including financial, mentoring, internships, content, software, etc.&lt;br /&gt;

Any of the GLCA schools with strong science programs (e.g. Oberlin, Wooster).  A significant percentage of future faculty come from liberal arts undergraduate environments.&lt;br /&gt;
